Maneuvering is the ship’s ability at turning and keeping its course. Any vessel plying on international waters is required to fulfill or meet certain criteria on maneuverability as laid down by either IMO or IACS or its local classification society as Maneuverability is vital for the ship’s safety. While most available softwares provision for only any one of these, GreenSHIP software is one-of-its kind and provides for the validation of all the three frameworks.
The software is used to simulate the hull model and test for Stopping, Turning Circle and Zig-zag in accordance to the preferred frameworks and can be modified accordingly till the desired results are achieved. While in most cases the plotting is done manually on graph, GreenSHIP adds novelty and sophistication to its indigenous software through the simulation feature for a real-time analysis.
The software designed by our hydrodynamic experts and naval architects produces results that are reliable and safe. The hydrodynamic derivatives are automatically computed based on desired input parameters of length, breadth etc for which the simulation is generated and can be easily corrected through the intuitive software to meet the maneuverability criteria.
